Wayne Sorenson CollectionAfter the Zone 1 downsizing in 1978, the department dropped from three battalions to one. The single on-duty Battalion Chief was known, oddly enough, as Battalion 2. The Battalion 2 office was at West Valley Station until the Seven Springs Station was opened in 1992, and the BC office was moved there. One of the vehicles used by Battalion 2 was Car 6, a 1978 Oldsmobile. It had a diesel engine. A second battlion was created the Campbell merger in 1993. |
