Sunnyoaks Station has the department's Training Facilities behind it (note tower in background). In 2002, a cellular telephone antenna array was installed atop the hose tower (left side of building), adding a 6' (2m) tan extension to the tower's height.

Engine 10 is a 2010 KME with a 1250gpm (4740 l/m) pump and a 600 gallon (2270 l tank). Although it looks very similar to the engine it replaces, Engine 10 and the other engines purchased at the same time have a number of new features and enhancements: it's Regen engine meets new EPA air quality standards, it's pump has an electronic pressure governor (no longer manual with a dump valve), it has LED water level indicators, a larger cab and high visibility striping (on the back and inside the doors). What look like additional warning lights beside the bar light are actually remote-controlled spotlights.
Former Engine 10 is a 2000 KME with a 1250gpm (4740 l/m) pump. it is now Reserve Engine 110. ![]() As of 2008, Sunnyoaks station is one of the stations responsible for refilling SCBA bottles.
Former Reserve Engine 110 started life as Engine 11 at Campbell Station. As of 2010, it has been reassigned as Reserve Engine 115 at Los Altos Station. It is a 1989 KME/15750 with a 1500gpm (5685 l/m) pump. Former Engine 10 is a 1989 KME/15750 with a 1500gpm (5685 l/m) pump. It was sold in 2002.
This 1977 International/Van Pelt, with a 1000gpm (3790 l/m) pump, served as Engine 10 and as reserve Engine 110 at the Sunnyoaks Station, before being retired from service in 2000. Date unknown.
